Would there be anyone that can help me with a programing issue. I am trying to program Buckeye Az police into my scanner and am having issues. When I look up Buckeye PD it refers to Mesa. When I look at Mesa it refers to Motorola Type II Smartnet. How do I go about getting Buckeye into my scanner? What kind of equipment do I need? For your info I have a radio shack pro 2055 curently. Thanks

Welcome to the RadioReference forums. We have a variety forums on here to choose from so it's important to post your question or request to the proper forum to get the best answer. At the top of the busy forums are Stickies which guide you where to post your question. I've moved your post from the General Scanning forum to this one as it's most applicable. In GenScan is a sticky (below) that helps with where to post. Please make note. Thanks.

You can monitor them with the 2055. Just program in the Mesa Communications systems in, the control freq's are 936.475, 936.6625, 939.6625 just program those in and the two talkgroups and you should be okay. Not sure but the key sequence would be 000, MAN, PGM, 936.475, ENT, up button, 936.6625, ENT, up button, 939.6625,ENT...don't forget to set each frequency to MO. Then press T if you are still in program mode/if not press PGM+T MODE to get to MO. Leave the bank open and away you go. Geez, it really is so much easier to program the 106, so fewer steps.
