ProScan: Need to deactivate a copy

Hi
I purchased a license for ProScan a while ago. I installed and activated a copy on a computer that suffered complete meltdown from a lighting strike. Zero chance of getting it running again. In the meantime, I recently installed and activated a 2nd. copy on a new home laptop. All good. Today I wanted to activate a copy on my work laptop, but received a message that I had exceeded the number of instances I could activate. How can I get the original copy deactivated if I can't boot the computer?

It used to be lost keys were sent on Mondays. For the last couple of years, I've been sending the same day unless user didn't provide any info that could be looked up.
Activations issues has always been instantly when the initial request made via email.
