• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules.     If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

    To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Can anyone assist us (Search And Rescue) with Astro Saber 3 Software. We are recovering from the loss of numerous radios from the 1-19-2012 fire and I just started acquiring Astro Saber 3 VHF and need to get them programmed ASAP.

We have CPS R02.00.00 currently and need newer.

First, you may want to post this in the Motorola forum, second, you can't solicit for Motorola software on this board. You have to contact Motorola for their software.

The software you are looking for is Motorola part number RVN4182. It is available for $276. To purchase it you need to set up an account at http://businessonline.motorola.com. Once your account is approved, you need to buy the software and they will ship it to you. After you purchase it, you can call them at (800) 814-0601 and they will add the software to your account, which will enable you to download it from Motorola Online immediately.

Your version is crazy old, the latest is R05.03.00...

It is not permitted to ask for software that costs money on this board. Thanks.

I will revise my post to ask for help with programming if anyone can assist us for a few on the side. They probably are dumb general questions and I wish we had a radio guy but I am it for now and have to get a few radios programmed.

Request for help - Saber Astro

If anyone on here that can spare a little time with some programming questions regarding Astro Sabers, we would really appreciate the help. I got stuck with replacing some lost radios for search and rescue and need to get these radios below (VHF) and 6 others programmed and I AM VERY NEW to the CPS software and would like to try and get it right the first time, or second....
