Needed Crystals for old Realistic Pro 20A handheld vhf hi-lo

Good Morning I have recently purchased an old 4 channel realistic pro 20A vhf hi-lo pocket scanner and need crystals for it. I found out to my dismay, that the large quantity of Bearcat ones that I have wont work. can anyone enlighten me as to where and what price? I can obtain these? I am in Alabama...thanks and happy scanning Carl

G&G sells crystals http://www.iinc.com/ggcomm/xtals.html

Both Ken's Electronics and G&G sell mostly crystal pulls from scanners. I've gotten crystals from both that were off frequency.

For new crystals try http://www.monitorcrystal.com/. The prices are a bit higher but you will not have problems with crystals that have drifted off frequency.

Some of the crystal companies from the old days of scanning are still around. Scanner crystals are no longer an important part of their business but some still sell them. Prices are generally extremely high due to low sales volume. An internet search will turn up some of these companies if you are interested.

I used to order scanner crystals from Jan Crystals out of Ft. Myers Florida. Their product and service were always good (mid 1970's). They're still around, check out at:

That was way long ago, brings back memories of the RS PRO-4 Pocketscan (older than the 20A). Yikes, time flies whether or not
you're having fun...!

Needed crystals for a Bearcat Four-Six. Still works! They also carry crystals for your scanner.
