Hi,

I am new to scanning and to this forum. I live in Wake Forest and had a couple questions regarding the Wake County EMS Frequencies and the trunking ID's that Wake County 800Mhz. system uses. I have a Radioshack Pro-94 scanner that I got as an early Christmas Present *grin* I am trying to monitor the Wake County EMS system. I have the "Rescom" frequency which is 156.225 Mhz. All I can pick up on that freq. is the pages for the personnel. Don't get me wrong, I like listening to 156.225, but I am looking for Dispatch One. Dispatch One is like the "main" channel where the ambulances would mark 10-8, 10-7, 10-6 etc. I know that Wake County operates on 800Mhz and my scanner says its compatible with 800mhz. I cannot figure out for the LIFE of me how to program in the trunking ID's. Even after I looked through the manual, I still cannot figure out! I found all the trunking ID's for Wake County EMS, but I can't program them in.

How would I program this into my scanner:

DEC HEX Mode Display Description
34416 867 D DISP_1 Wake Co EMS Dispatch 1

Yeah, I know I'm a newbie, but I need some help!

Thanks,
Brendan

The PRO-94 is not a digital scanner and I'm not sure if you can add a digital card to upgrade it, but in the table you are looking at under the "mode" is a D. D is for digital and A for analog.
