Needing help with Pro-528

hey guys, coming across strange occurences where my Pro-528 will not do a ID Search in Trunk mode, but instead do a ID Scan... I'd say this occurs about once out of every 3 to 4 nights I listen to my scanner. The Sheriff's dept I'm with uses a Motorola Trunk system and I don't know of any reason why it would cause a portable scanner to act this way.

Also, when I hold down the TRUNK key to try and switch the mode from SCAN to SEARCH, it remains on SEARCH.

any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what is causing your first problem
Although the book, page 56, says hold TRUNK for about 1 second to change from SCAN to SEARCH, I have found that simply a quick press of the SCAN or SRCH key changes the scanning from one to the other.

thanks Dick... yeah, actually have talked to a guy over the phone from that group and we couldn't figure it out.

I'll post my current problem and see if maybe theres someone out there that has come across this..

just kind of irratating when I turn my scanner on and it's doing a SCAN of Trunk and not SEARCHING... wondering if maybe it's the order in which I have my cc's loaded
