Needing lots of Help!!!

I have a RadioShack Pro 197 scanner and need help in progamming it for Shawnee County and Topeka Area. Ive tried but really have no idea what or how to do this.
Please Help.

Welcome to RR!

The best way to program your scanner is through the use of programming software. There are a number of products out there, and several have free trial versions. This thread goes over some of your options:

Once you select a software, get a premium subscription to RR and you will be able to download systems, frequencies and talk groups you select directly from the RR database.
