Hi,

Does anyone have the Talk Group ID's they could provide me for the City of Adamsville since the switch was made to the Alabama First Responder Network? I only found 1 on the Radio Reference Database and was wondering if anyone had the Fire Department Primary and also the Tac Channel for them along with the Police Tac Channel.

Thanks in Advance,

Eric

Here is a more comprehensive list. I figure out how they converted the talk groups on the old JC800 to the new AFRN id. I ran it through a script and converted the the old list to the new list. now that the conversion is almost complete I guess I need to send this update to the database for all of them that have been converted.

Hey Guys,

I truly appreciate all your help. I seriously thought my Scanner was going to go silent and you guys saved the day.

Question #1: Does anyone have the Talk Group's for Brookside Fire & Police, Forestdale Fire, Minor Fire, and Shady Grove Fire including the Tac Channels?

Question #2: Does RPS Ambulance Service have a Talk Group you can Monitor since Southern Linc is no more?

Question #3 How are you guys finding these Talk Groups?? I have a Uniden BCD325P2 Scanner and also a Uniden BCD996P2 Scanner and would love to learn.

Thanks in Advance and God Bless,

Eric

I Use Unitrunker V2 with several SDR Dongels to monitor the huffman site and sometimes the Simulcast site. Mostly it is just listening to the channels or in my case watching for unknown talkgroups that I don't have a description for. I then set a priority on those talk groups to listen to them. Dispatch channels will give addresses and I then google the address to determine the location. from there I can look for fire or police departments in that area.

I guess the concept is the same with a traditional scanner. Just look for unknown talkgroups and listen to figure out what they are. If you can't figure it out... post some of the chatter on here with the TGID and someone usually knows.
