Has anybody caught any P25 action on NEPF? I have it programmed as analog in my primary scanlist of my apx and periodically hear some P25 action. Now that I have it set to mixed mode, I haven't heard anything yet. I've seen NEPF mentioned a few times in this forum but nothing specifically with P25 yet. I'm monitoring in Dauphin County.

155.475 has been known as VLAW31 for some time now. The national standard for usage per NIFOG is analog 156.7 PL, not P25. But, what does that have to do with the statewide trunked system?

155.48250 BM156.7 PLVLAW32VLAW32 - Law Enforcement FMN Interop

for p25 use it should be NAC of 293

They renamed both of the NEPF to VLAW31 / VLAW32

While NAC 293 is the default and what is used on nationwide interop channels when using P25 CAI, using 155.475 in P25 mode would be considered non-standard usage and not recommended. Analog, 156.7 PL is the national standard for the VHF, UHF, and 800 MHz nationwide interop channels. 700 MHz is P25.

Sorry, but p25 has been used on VLAW 31 and 32 for over 5 years with the correct NAC, including PA.. And yes it's been available for PSP, and at least 12 counties in my area have it programmed into the patch consoles for their respective local trunking systems. Other states Confirmed use, New York, All of NE, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois...... Those are the ones I can confirm. Those NIFOG are out of date. Everything is NFM / p25 available usage now. (Mostly for Interops with Federal Agencies)
