At this time 1318 UTC in USB I hear a number of stations asking for radio checks. All in English, both OMs and YLs. Don't want to post their actual calls but some of the prefixes are Charlie Alpha and Uniform Sierra. Perhaps a military net? Have mined the Internet for leads but nothing so far. Some are calling "any stations" for a radio check. Interesting. Tnx de N2HUN.

Check out this link on the discussion for "Operation Noble Skywave". US callsigns seem to be USAF and CA callsigns seem to be Canadian.

I JUST posted a question about the exact same thing. I heard this on the 20m band, somewhere around 14.500 MHz? Men, women, and even children...all they did was ask for radio checks. Strange?
