Networking and serial port emulators

Has anyone who is using a USB serial port emulator tried networking the device via USB hub? Any problems doing that?

Do you mean plugging the usb adapter into a usb hub instead of directly in the pc?

I was having problems with that, so eventually used the hub for the other devices (2nd sound card, SDR14...) and left the serial dongles attached to the pc.

However you won't know for sure until you try, as I found that behaviour can be very different depending on the brand of those adapters.
Sometimes the problem can be solved just trying different drivers that may be available for the same chipset.

Yep, that's what I meant.

As it turns out, that's not a valid way to network multiple USB devices to more than one computer anyway, so in my case the question is moot.

do you want to control the same radio from two different pc ?

a "Y" serial cable should work, of course 2 usb to serial adapters are needed

another option may be serial to ethernet adapters and turn the radio into a network device
