BWAHAHAHAHAH!

In case you didn't read on the home page about Nye County *NOT* joining into the NSRS, you should.
"This is the same thing Nevada Highway Patrol was doing. We just picked up the ball and ran with it," Sullivan said. "We're also anticipating picking up the NHP frequencies they're going to abandon at the end of this year."

Nye County planned to piggyback on the new NHP [Motorola] communication systems, until the NHP changed its mind and went with an 800-megahertz frequency, which was seen as impractical for Nye County's terrain.

Hats off to NYE COUNTY!

Hmm, 155Mhz Motorola Smartnet system. :D I hope that the other counties jump on board with this and keep their deputies/fire departments and users safe with stable reliable 155Mhz communications.

If you read the Nevada State Inter-op radio plan it states right in the plan that all rural counties plan to stay on VHF. They will have a VHF tie to the NSRS. Reno and Vegas areas will have their own trunked systems with ties to the NSRS. 155.655 is already tied to the NSRS nearly statewide.

Smartnet ?? I wonder, remember that 90% of the NHP VHF system was built as a conventional system. Only Reno & Vegas metro ares were trunked. Most of the mountain tops had 3 channels, primary, secondary, and statewide law common. But he is asking for a lot of frequencies. 8,000 users, I bet Nye county dosen't have 80 users. Time will tell.

Thunderbolt helped me understand how to read the FCC database some more. (Thanks Thunderbolt!)

The System won't be Smartnet as assumed and I thought I had read elsewhere.

Motorola ASTRO 3600 baud as it states in the RR DB.
