Good Morning= Joined site and really like the info' here and you guys really make it work good. The new system for nhp 800.0000 seems to be working well in the vegas area. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a mobil antenna under $ 50.00 with no holes in my new truck for all freq's?? The more I read about the antennas out there the more I become confused and frustrated. I have a RS PRO 95.

A very good and cheap monitoring mobile antenna that I use is good for VHF, UHF, and 800 MHz. It is small, about 15" in height, magnetic base and is the Pro Am Model PMM3B which I bought from Radio World in Boulder City for about $17. I like it a great deal and it can be used for transmitting on ham bands (2 meters and 440). It comes with nine feet of coax and a BNC type connector. I recommend it without reservation. Radio World's phone number is 294-2666.

Tweaking the MX-7000

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on this. I have been looking for my Service Manual in the "mountain of manuals". I just tuned to a known frequency such as 162.55 and tweaked one pot for the best audio, (rather cave man, but it worked!). I'll scan the pictorial of the unit that points the pot out and e-mail ti to you when I find it.

I hadn't thought of this cave man adjustment. Don't worry about scanning a picture of the service manual. I think I can figure it out without it. I can also try to find a service manual on the internet. If these methods don't work I will get back to you.

Thanks so much.

Exsmokey,
In case you still need them, here's some IDs. Btw, NDOT carson area goes by 50 0x and some 53 0x for unit numbers. UNR has some too, but I wiped them out, as they talk too much.. The 0000 are my talk group separators..
