The scanner will receive all ID's in SEARCH Mode. Press SCAN to receive only ID' programmed as follows:
Code:
Programming ID’s
1. Press SCAN
2. Press up/HOLD (----- should be on the display)
3. Navigate up or down using HOLD or LIMIT until the number 1 appears on the left and a smaller number 1 is in
   upper left
4. Using the numbered keys, enter the 2 to 5 digits ID for E2-800/900 or (note, for Mot Type
I or EDACS ID’s, use the period key for the hyphen.
5. Press E
6. Press up/HOLD
7. Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 until all known ID’s are entered
Note: after programming 10 ID’s, the number 1 appears on the left again and a number 2 appears
in the upper left, this is a new ID sub-bank. The scanner has 5 of these sub-banks for a total
of 50 ID’s per scan bank.
To lockout ID, Press UP/HOLD, then navigate to the ID, Press L/O.

While there are no 'free' programs for the 2052 I know of, there is one that is in the 'cheap and upgradable' category; Scan Control comes in 2 flavors; programming only Lite version (should be about CDN20 or less, I've lost track of the exchange rate), and the full version which includes PC control. The newest release (4.2.0) incorporates changes for the newer firmware models. This software also has its own Yahoo group where the developer (Ken.D) is available for comments and questions.

I know Winscan has (had?) a package for the 2052; don't know much about it, but Pozilla software is not communicative with its customers. Scan Pro also has a version for the 2052; if it's anything like their BC895 and 245 software, avoid it like the plague. Scan Control is far better.
