New 800 Site: State Police Somerville

I noted when driving by there are new panel antennas on the tower at the barracks. For many years there was only a TV antenna on it. I also see a license has been issued. Anyone confirm if it is on the air yet?

It appears as if it is a New Jersey Transit site by the Maplewood address and frequencies.

They have been adding sites all over the place. Looks like the tetra system has a lot of dead spots compared to the old system.

There has been an even bigger build out on that tower in recent months. Like you said, never had anything on it....

According to NJTransit Bus Ops they have huge coverage issues with TETRA to the west and southwest portions of the state.

PSE&G also has a 900mhz site there now.
