New Albany PD Hostage Training

Did anyone else hear the NAPD hostage situation exercise last night around 7:00pm? I was hearing them on the 002100 talkgroup and I have to admit, it was a bit unnerving at first because I didn't know if it was real. After a while, however, I managed to figure out that it had to be a drill because I can't imagine a police officer being that calm as he reports that he shot the suspect three times in the head. They also seemed to be using first names or nicknames which I wouldn't think they would do in a real situation. I was wondering where they carried out the exercise since it sounded like they were at a school. Just interesting stuff to listen to while waiting for my daughters to get done with Girl Scouts.

I heard them last night also. They have a very good response team and so does their neighbor Clark County.

I listened to it also, I like to listen to those trainning events, like the one INSPD did a while back. It's nice to know they are preparing.
