Hi guys I'm looking at a new antenna setup to go with my new BCD536HP scanner. The antenna will be a Diamond D-130J and terminating into a PL-259 connector. From the connector I am using a 3 foot section of RG-58 with a crimp on connector end in a N connector. The N connector will then go into a Terawave lighting protector with N connections on each side. After the lightning protector I plan to use some LMR-240 Times Microwave cable running up to the back of the scanner. My antenna will be mounted high on a 10 foot pole outside my window and the total run in cable is probably no more than 25 feet plus the short 3 foot section. Just curious how my setup sounds to others? I will mostly be scanning the public safety bands. Thanks
