P25 as an option, but still no trunking ability.

At least it's not neutered in the 800MHz band like the US iCom receivers are.

er...yes, it is - at least in the (OMG Forbidden Zone, hi) - cell band.

Looks like this is the follow up to the AOR5000. Gonna be expensive, though...73 Mike

Any one using the model incorporating a video display?? I have been AOR for years-started with the first wide band receiver made. Now using a 5000 and 8200.

I see Universal now has the AR5001DB for sale at 3799.95!! I've been scouring the web looking for a manual, with no joy. Anyone have an idea where a manual for this new goody might be found?

Nice radio! They finaly caught up with the rest of the world and added PL AND DPL, to the package and not as an option like PL tones are now on their other radios. Too bad that you have to spend more than 3K to get it though. How about adding PL/DPL tones to ALL the receivers and not a separate option! Then I might think about getting an AOR receiver again.
