Rather than programming from scratch (a lot of things can go wrong for a new user if he isn't very careful), I'd suggest building Favorites Lists using Sentinel.
Go to the full database and expand for the desired area. Basically it's highlight the desired system, then right mouse click to Append Favorites List. Either create New Favorites List or add to an existing Favorites List.
It is daunting at first, but with time, practice and lots of paitience you should be able to do it. You'll make a mistake or two in the beginning - we all have. You can't ruin a scanner with bad programming - you can always wipe the slate clean and start all over.
