Thanks again, Mike. I basically meant thath the 2052 won't track the rebanded Palmetto 800 system we now have here in SC (it used to before rebanding when it was SCANA). My 996 is working wonderfully and I hesitate to ask this - on the uniden type II 800 MHZ my 996 will sound analog as well as digital and I didn't program it for digital. On one sheriff's dept. it has both analog and a couple of digital TGs and the 996 will do them all on this site. The digital sounds like the deputies are in the room with me while the analog - well sounds like a scanner. Again I hesitate to ask ('cause this mode is cool) is this normal? I immediately downloaded the upgrade into the 996 so I don't have a base line to compare it to.
