New Bedford full scale MBTA Commuter rail Train Evacuation Exercise.

Sunday November 19th there will be a full scale train Evacuation exercise at the Whale tooth T stop in downtown New Bedford. New Bedford Police, Fire, EMS, and EMA will be participating in the drill. The city is also looking for volunteers to play the "victim" role. Here is the link to register if you'd wish. I'm sure the New Bedford Public Safety frequencies will be quite active during the drill.

Ill walk Down there tomorrow morning to see the simulated train Wreck.
No yellow suits or crash helmets but ill bring a Bearcat Scanner and Alinco
dual band HT for effect !

Ops was on Events 7 MSP Trunk.

Allot of People Showed up. Had my scanners for Local Train - EMA -Fire and Police and MASP Trunk had a few Hams on 146.52 also .
Signed in as an Observer got to wear a green Vest !
Seeing this was in the Achusnet Heights Section of New Bedford it was just a walk for me !
Good Experience !
