I know we were on this topic a long time ago, but has anybody happened to ever hear the New Britain courthouse? Radio frequency GA 15 just a question I’m just asking I really couldn’t find much in the database

There's a license onsite at the courthouse building, WRAV521 (location #1), however it's licensed to a radio shop so I have no idea if it's applicable to the courthouse or not. Try 461.925, ERP is 100 watts so it should be receivable some distance away & DMR may be a possibility. There's another license (same licensee) located at the adjacent building, WREI988. Might also be worth checking 451.2375 for activity...

I'd imagine the marshals are using their talkgroup, not sure who else in the courthouse would have a radio besides the marshals

Are you making reference to the Judicial Marshals as being "Security Guards"? If so, see what happens when you run afoul of one of the "Security Guards".

Try these freqs. I know the courthouses in my area use them. Low power simplex. PL tones vary by area
465.18750
465.26250
465.43750
465.46250
As Pro106import pointed out, and I can confirm as a former employee, these are the frequencies used statewide by the Judicial Marshal Service in the courthouses. Unless they have changed, they were Kenwood TK-380 portables set on low power. What they do is simple; If say the first frequency is used in a courthouse in Bridgeport, that same frequency won't be used at the nearvy courthouse. ( low court, High court, Juvenile etc. ). In Bridgeport for example, we had low court ( Traffic court, arraignments) on 172 Golden Hill Street ( Ga-2). About 2 blocks down was high court (JD-2) at 1061 Main Street ( family court, civil/criminal trials ). Both courthouses used separtate frequencies but the same PL tones ( 114.8 ). Prisoner transport is on the CLMRN system with 3 groups ( JM East, JM-West, and JM Statewide-3075,3077,3079). It used to be on a Marcus System UHF repeater using Kenwood TK-880 mobile radios until added to the state system. Hope that helps a litle, folks.

Milford uses PL 110.9
Yes sir! I just checked my files. Thats the other PL tone they use, I just could not remember it. LOL I believe there is one more too in the eastern side of the state but I am not 100% sure. I also have in my files 453.9875 and 453.225 in the Hartford area. I also found this in my notes:

GA-2 Bpt 465.2625 PL110.9
JD-2 Bpt 465.4625 PL 110.9

Ga-22 Milford 465.2625 pl 110.9
GA-5 Derby 465.4625 pl110.9

GA-23 235 Church Street New Haven 465.2625 PL,114.8
GA-23 Superior Court 465.1875
GA-23 Juvenile 465.4625 PL 114.8

As an attorney (33 years) I can say that I've been witness to two occasions wherein the Judicial Marshals got pretty "uptight" for lack of a better way of putting it to the extent where they've called in CSP in response to a person entering the courthouse with a scanner. A tempest in a teapot, but nevertheless embarrassing to the scanner owner.
In the Norwalk G.A. I was running late (so what else is new) I became pretty upset that after seven passes through the metal detector they wouldn't let me in...so I said it has to be the zipper on my pants and proceeded to unzip my pants. The rest is yet another story in the annals of courthouse history.

OK, thank you very much i monitor that the next time I go by the courthouse
Born/raised in NB... as an alternative, grab a couple dogs and an Avery's from Capitol Lunch
then go to Walnut Hill Park to the Grand Street side lot near the Monument. Line-of-sight
to Franklin Square and no worries about traffic or parking around the courthouse.
(Left NB in 1973 and still miss those hot dogs...:D )
