NBFD is out on two calls right now. They operate on 154.325 MHz, but for some reason I am also picking them up on 153.980 (Dunellen PD), 160.740 (CSX Trenton Line), 160.515 (Amtrak MOW), and 160.440 (NJT MOW), why could this be happening? Has never happened before. Its obviously not bleed over, but it doesn't seem like an image either. Something with my scanner? Thanks guys.

EDIT: Now also coming in on 156.000 (Milltown FD) and 160.800 (AAR 46)... Just had a simple repair made to my scanner today, hope something didn't get screwed up?

I would guess it is related to the repair, especially since (from your other thread) it seems the repair was antenna-related. Maybe the scanner is simply overloaded now with an improved antenna connection?

Does this happen with any other transmitters, in and out of band? Does turning on the attenuator help?

Haven't noticed this problem with any other transmissions on any other frequencies (in multiple bands). Didn't think about turning on the attenuator, assuming I should try this on 154.325 (NBFD)? Once I have some more time to listen, I will let you know what I find.

If 154.325 is booming in so strong that the audio comes out of your scanner garbled then the attenuator may help. But as far as receiveing NwBFD on other frequencies, you would need to turn the attenuator on for the other channels. I don't know if the -95 has it but from other GRE scanners, try turning on a global attenuator using FUNC-ATT.

If the attenuator solves your problem, and if you're having that problem only with certain channels, you may then want to turn the global attenuator off and turn on per-channel attenuation for individual problematic channels so as not to reduce sensitivity on unaffected channels. I suggest global to start with as a quick and easy way to troubleshoot & diagnose.
