These are simply upgrades to the existing EDACS systems that include inter-op modules that link local TRS, VHF repeat, and UHF repeat systems within the county. No new frerquencies, no new talk groups.

Under County policy, Prosecutor heads all law enforcement and OEM matters. The central radio hub, under the Sheriff's Comm Bureau is under that umbrella. The Freeholder who spoke was Chairperson of Public Safety. Just the usual politics at work.

I love how most NJOEM is run by LE. Just kills me. Trying to find a job in NJ, anywhere in NJ. Cant become a Cop because of medical conditions.

Back on topic, so they basically put patches in. Good for them. I ride with a Northern Passaic COunty FD, and LE runs their comms also. No patches, no gateways and each of the three surrounding departments are on different bands. Trying to coordinate a parade and writting the Comms Plan has become static in my pants.
