The Town of Cicero was recently granted a modification for callsign WNXW905. The license, which previously covered portables on 453.6125, was modified to cover 100 watt NXDN repeaters on 453.6125 and 453.8125. Norcomm in Franklin Park is listed as the licensee address.

Any word on who the user(s) will be? My first thought was the police, but I doubt it due to the FCC's mandate...

Which FCC mandate? Cicero PD currently using UHF T-band, and those freqs will need to be vacated in the next few years. Could be that the PD is making preparations for this eventuality?

I'd say that it's possible. I've seen many Cicero PD units with Kenwood radios and I believe they are a popular brand for NXDN radios (correct me if I'm wrong).

I must admit that it's a bit unusual for them to use NXDN since their Public Works freq of 151.205 has DMR in their license and some schools also use it...

I though it was 476.7625 before seeing them new 453 digital frequencies...

Yes, you are correct. I understand what you meant now...staying on UHF but NXDN. I'm wondering if Stickney will be using one of those NXDN frequencies instead of the Cook County node?

Cicero should stay in clear to communicated with Berwyn. I would imagine Stickney would stick with County's node since it would give em access to Sheriff/Interop 1-4 county-wide talkgroups. Kinda like what WestCom does with Elm Wood Park and Park Ridge ENC TG's.

I hear some test counts on 476.7625, but other than that, it's been very quiet. Also, I heard the dispatchers refer to the mentioned NXDN freq as the "Special Event" channel.

Routine activity appears to have returned to the 476.7625. TGID 0 was coming up last night on the NXDN One Frequency system which is a the default talkgroup for NXDN One Frequency systems.

Cicero is using 453.8125 for some unrest-related operations. They're calling it "Ops 3". Getting a RAN of 22.

They just switched back to their analog main band. They referred to 453.6125 as "Ops 2".

Is this a new frequency for the license? I see 453.6625 on the license.

There's two different licences for Cicero's NXDN, WNXW905 and WREA717. WNXW905 includes 453.6125 and 453.8125, using the Fire Dept's tower near 34th/Laramie. WREA717 includes 453.4375 and 453.6625, with a tower located at the Public Works building near 16th/Laramie.
