New Cincinnati Fire Radios and Template

Starting Tuesday, June 17, 2014 the Cincinnati Fire Department will transition to the use of Motorola APX 6000 portable radios with a new radio template and new dispatch procedures.

The new radio template will include the repurposing of the current CFG talk groups as well as the addition of several new talk groups.

FYI, listening to the Cincinnati FD stream on Scanner Radio App, Dispatch advised per one of the chiefs, as of 21:20 hours the new radio template is in effect. Dispatch advised that all units are to place old radios out of service and start using the new radios. At this time I have not heard any calls dispatched since.
