i noticed what appeared to be a uniden 996 scanner in there (for opp?) as well as a ge orion head unit for an old radio........

Correct on the scanner, but the GE (now Harris) radio is likely an M7100 (successor to the Orion)... It could very well be an Orion, but either way it's not old. They have a very well maintained ProVoice system that is pretty consistantly updated. Also from the video, it looked like a MotoTRBO radio just to the right of the GE radio. For communicating with Strathroy-Caradoc PS perhaps?

Last time i was in their old MCU they had a Airport Tower radio, a motorola radio on Prov com, a ge radio for UWO policem a am/fm radio, a kenwood ham radio with a dtmf mic, and a ericsson orion all in the back of it. Im sure they have the same set up now, just in a different place and newer radios.. Or maybe they just took the ones from the old unit, into this one
So guess the Ericsson labe is a bit old, but dont mean the radio itself isnot a macom one. They just may not care to change teh faceplate since its the exact same on the new ones anyways...for the most part
