A few months ago I got a new computer. I reinstalled Sentinel and I didn't think much of it. I copied the BCDx36HP data from the old computer including the FavoiteLists folder.
Today I am looking at my Favorite lists in Sentinel and some are not in Sentinel anymore.
I dig a little deeper and I see them in the file structure. I also see a file called f_list.cfg. This apparently holds the FLs you see in Sentinel and has the file name linked.
I have 24 FL files in the file system and only 10 show in Sentinel currently.
I don't always download all my FLs to the scanner when I change a profile as I travel all over and try and keep unneeded data out of view for simplicity.
My guess is I read from the scanner after the new computer install and that's the FLs that now in Sentinel. That's a guess as I did this months ago and never noticed the problem until now.
The FLs are in an .hpd format and one can seem to only import .hpe files. Idea one then goes out the window of trying to import them.
Any idea how I can get those missing FLs back into Sentinel without trying to recreate the whole thing from scratch??
I am thinking I can edit the f_list.cfg and put them in there copying the data structure from the existing entries? But I don't really want to make the situation worse as I am not familiar with any other links into that f_list.cfg file.
Looking for thoughts how to get those FL's back.

Owing to how good your computer skills are, you can try the following if you don't want to invest in ProScan:

Go to the folder where you located that f_list.cfg file. (f_list.cfg is kind of the traffic cop that brings all the FLs together.)

Make a copy of that whole folder to something like BCDx36HP_copy.

Use a text editor to copy those "missing" HPD files into the f_list.cfg file. (You can do some copying and pasting, then change the first set of characters to the proper file name and number.

Then, open Sentinel, go to the Tools tab and change the Sentinel Folder to that BCDx36HP_copy folder and see what happens.

If everything "works" then you are okay. If not, use Sentinel to change the Sentinel Folder to the original thing - you are no worse off than you started.

This is not for the feint of heart or novice computer person, stuff can be messed up and you have to start from scratch.
