Located a new "control frequency" for Chattanooga/Hamilton County yesterday. It is 860.7125 and carries the same system ID as the other Chattanooga/Hamilton County system, AA1A. Anyone in the area know what the new control channel will be used for?

This site is up in a test mode it is not connected to the system and no radios have the ability to use it yet as well as some licenseing issues for the frequencies appears to be in question.

New Site Question

Ok. On 8/17/2005 I posted where I fount two (2) new frequencies that were showing Chattanooga/Hamilton Co. ID's. These were 860.1125 and 860.1375. Since the new Control frequency, 860.7125, has shown up, the two other frequencies have gone quiet. Do you thing these will become part of the new system? Thanks.

So is this a new tower that is being added to the Chattanooga TRS system? Where is it located?

Yes we will soon have a new zone added to the system, it will be located on the ridge behind US Express.

Why Showing Area ID's

Mark Mc.

Why were these "NEXTEL" frequencies showing our area ID's? I watched them for over a day. Thanks

Well Mark,
The 396 shows the system ID if you put the scanner in search mode.

Chattanooga

Hey guys, I know this is going to sound really stupid to all you pros out there, but I just purchased my first scanner off the shelf at walmart. Uniden BC92XLT portable scanner, nothing fancy. I've just about figured out how to enter a frequency on it and make it scann . I've found several police and rescue frequencies at home, but I work in Chattanooga and can't for the life of me find Chattanooga police, rescue, or state trooper frequencies. Can any of you guys help a rookie out and tell me where to find these, or are they on some kinda frequency I can't get on my scanner? And do any of you know if a portable scanner in a car is illegal in the states of Tennessee and Alabama? Please keep it simple for me, I don't understand all the technical lingo. I still have no clue what the term "trunked" means, but I see it everywhere. Thanks for your help guys.

Second New Control Frequency

Well, I heard the second new system control frequency this evening, 868.800. I am also receiving test activity on the 856-860.7125 frequencies, and the 867.800 and 866.600 frequencies.
