I am also hearing these freqs when I run PC-ALE with COTHEN concurrent with soundings on known COTHEN freqs. Whether there are COTHEN or another net I don't know but it looks like DHS is merging nets.

Digital Decoding Forum??????

We were discussing freqs on the COTHEN system and you sent it off to the "Digital Decoding Forum." I can't find that forum on RR. Can you provide a link please?

Well, some people don't check their PM's. I figured if you weren't there, someone else would steer me in the right direction. I had this bookmarked for some time. It wasn't clear to me if this was still the same discussion or it had moved someplace else.

Best regards,

Steve

Anyone heard any MIL-STD 110A on COTHEN. I read a report that it was being used. It was even mentioned that it wasn't encrypted. Just curious. System hasn't been that busy lately. CG must be trying to save gas.

I parked my Wavecom classifier on 11494, where LB1 and FSE have been seen recently with callups into digital mode.

It reported back 100% confidence in MIL-188-110B

I'm now going to let the decoder sit on that for a while to see what decode, if any, we might see.

Additional 110 noted on 13907 a couple weeks ago (May 15th)

13907 USB 1814: LT2 clg J97 in ALE then MIL-188-STD-110A: “LT2:YOU NEED TO SOUND YOUR RADIO — LT2:I AM IN CHAT WITH YOU”. USB voice comms follow with "105" clg Juliet 97 to confirm receipt of text message.

Brandon, Lindsay, what are you using to decode the MIL-188-STA-110A please?

Thanks!

COTHEN

Anyone hearing any traffic on COTHEN these days. It appears the CG has moved much of their traffic to SATCOM. Most of the rotary wing stuff has it now. Very infrequent catches these days.

COTHEN Listeners Still Around?

Trying to stir up some interest. I have been hearing some USCG traffic on COTHEN. Primarily comms with Panther in The Bahamas. Aircraft to Panther and vice versa. Perhaps Panther can't encrypt comms. No clue but interesting nonetheless.

Hearing plenty of soundings.
