I was listening to my scanner tonight scanning through channels and I came across a frequency 860.1875 it's digital noise for sure and the signal is full when I'm in Brockville anybody have a Idea what this frequency could be?? I haven't heard a thing on it yet but I could have the band plan set wrong as well.

A quick TAFL search indicated it is one of 3 frequencies licensed to Christie & Walther Electronics.

An even quicker search on this very website showed this system, already listed in the database.

Yep, old system 5617, found it myself.... :)

I've never had the chance to figure out if it is Type II or Type IIi,
i.e. the fleetmap. I'll check my Treport logs from recent Kingston
trip to see which TGs show up.

Careful with the difference between "bandplan" and fleetmap. This
is 800MHz Motorola which uses a standard bandplan, but the fleetmap,
the mapping of radio IDs into fleets/sub-fleets, is unknown. If you
program it, try as a pure Type II (2) system first.

The CC does rotate so if it shows up on any of the other two
frequencies, don't be surprised.

your too fast, i was about to ask someone to trunk88 or treport it and see what comes up
let us know about any activity, or if its different then posted in the database so that someone can change it

TRUNK88 logged the following (decimal) TGs on system 5617:

144
8816
33312

I have no idea what they are used for.

I have added TRS: 5617 back into the database. Please submit any identified talkgroups, or additional frequency information accordingly. Thank you!

When I try to pull up the system in Unitrunker, it won't hold..just keeps switching between Site 1 and Site 0.. dunno what's up.

Here's a clue...if you can't hear the Cornwall CC, and the Brockville
CC has rotated and not in the list, then you'll be flipping back and
forth forever...

This is not a restore from backup, but a partial reconstruct from
recent info, which is incomplete. Both sites showed three channels
including alternate CCs. Still no explanation why it could not be
fully restored (actually it can, from a RR DVD) or why it got
deleted or disappeared in the first place.

BTW Lordj, why is it that updates to this (and other systems)
seem to come from people who drive in from outside, but rarely
if ever from people within the normal groundwave coverage (your
area)? I don't recall a single update in the years since I submitted
the system, such as an identified TG, and the fleetmap. It may be
academic in this case as the system appears to be winding down.

As I am content with the frequencies that I have, I have never really spent the time searching for new targets.. While I may have seen reference to this system, it was maybe before I played around with unitrunker, so I hadn't the tool to 'have a look' at the system. Just by chance I decided to spend time looking into this new one due to the relative proximity, a new thread, and maybe some boredom...
I had submitted some info a couple of years ago, but never saw it added, so I didn't send any info after that...I suppose with the new Uniden HP-1 coming out soon, I should submit everything I have to the DB to do my part...Hope that takes care of your inquiry...

The point is not that you update or don't update these systems; it is that nobody
does. If it doesn't have to do with police, fire, and EMS, it is ignored and neglected.
There are many more examples. The commercial part of the trunked database is
well on its way to becoming useless in Eastern Ontario. Pretty sad state.

As of last tuesday, the Brockville CC had moved to 860.1875
(enhanced propogation, confirmed it myself). Alternate CC's are missing
from the current record, so you had no chance. I would at least
check to see if you could hear the CC, and hearing none, investigate
further. I doubt you would normally be able to pick up the Cornwall CC.

Now, would someone like to do a full restore of the system record?
