Hey People:
On tuesdays Ct post newspaper there was an article regarding a "new" regional dispatch center coming to Bridgeport. I dont know much about it other than the article saying that not even NYC post 911 has anything like it. Its suppossed to link up with 11 jurisdictions including fema, red cross, and state agencies according to the article. Anyone have a clue as to whats being planned, types of systems ect???? I know its way too early for a frequency guess but I would love to have a general idea where they are going with this. My guess would obviously be a trunked system of some type. The guy thats really pushing for it is Scott Applebee, the Emergency Management Coordinator for Bridgeport. That makes me wonder if this will be a " use only during a disaster" type of back up system or what?
