Hello,

Need some help. I am trying to figure out a local system that is on DMR. I have frequencies from FCC license. I have them programmed into my scanner and left the type as digital search. I am now picking up some voice but the scanner keeps stopping with no transmission heard and blinking the color code and CAP +. How do I get it to stop holding on dead air and only stop when voice is being transmitted? Is it doing this because its a trunked system? Each FCC license has about 30 frequencies associated with it. Call signs are WSCK218 and KD53486. Trying to pick up my kid's schools. I am using proscan and SDS 200/BCD436HP. THANK YOU!

It's a Motorola Capacity Plus system (yes, a trunked system). You must enter it into your scanner as a DMR Trunked system, not as a conventional DMR frequency. But in order for that to work, you need to figure out how many of the freqs are in use, to which site they belong to, and their LCNs. And then you'd have to configure multiple DMR Trunked systems if those are separate school districts.

You are only going to be interested in the FB2 freqs.

And you should really try to narrow thigns down to only the specific locations that you are likely to be able to pick up from your location, or even better only the locations for which your kids are at. Otherwise you are going to be trying to figure out two different trunked systems, each with multiple sites.
