If you decide to install this firmware, you really need to back up your memory entries as well as other data to the SD card before installing the new firmware, because the warning in the write up about the new firmware update stated that the memory architecture is changing (i.e. - they are stored differently) is really true!!

Also, there is a firmware update for the DV-10 and it has the same changes but there is no warning in the description of the firmware about doing the back up. The memory data is really corrupt after the update until you restore the memory information from the backup.

The owner's manual for both receivers mentions that you should backup your data.

Wondering why they choose to do this. This might also mess with the ARC DV-1 Pro and similar programming software, although I'm not sure how they send it to the device. I hope it will have benefits for DV1 users.

This update hopefully also means the product line will be supported for some time into the future. Too bad they didn't include more info in the changelog. Seems like a decent jump up in version number though. I will keep an eye on this topic for others review of the new firmware. And let's not forget.. Thanks AOR!

I did the update. My memories were untouched. Weird.

Did the update a few days ago and haven't had much time to test for any bugs, but I haven't noticed any crazy things yet. I will update here if I do find any.

L_atest FW versions are: AR-DV1: 2504A ---> AOR,LTD. Tokyo, Japan Home Page support/firmware.html AR-DV10: 2504B > Aoria - Offical Homepage - The Constant support/firmware_ar-dv10.html
There is only one firmware version for our receivers, no matter the country,
As instructions say, always make a backup of your data before doing an update
Once updated, it is good practive to do a full reset. Then you can re-upload the data to the receiver
If you face any problem with your receiver please provide the serial number and clearly describe the problem
Thank you.
Regards,
AOR, Ltd.

After upgrade to 2504A (.DV2) got "NO RES. Mainboard" when recording audio.
Back to previous firmware (same SD card) and everything fine again.
Did not try another installation yet.

I just noticed, that the message "NO RES. Mainboard" is appearing if I remove the SD card while the DV1 is switched on. After re-inserting the SD and pressing the SCAN button the message disappears.
