I saw it from an update on the 31st of March and tried to see if I could get some activity from it. Based upon the addresses in Fire dispatches, it is the city of El Paso.

I'm following the group with four control channels only. Both systems look very similar and I may be in error. This is analog at the time.
Okay I guess the questions will have to be specific:
  • What control channel are you listening to today?
  • If you pause on the CCh (or depending on your scanner, monitor that channel), what does your display actually say? (If you give your radio model number, that would be helpful.)
  • You started out linking the P25 system but now you say it is Analog; the confustion is based on this, since P25 systems cannot have analog voice channels.
  • The Database obviously has some bad data in it as it has the several of the same frequencies listed for both the Motorola system and the P25 system, can you clear this up any? In other words, saying you are monitoring the CCh of 859.2500 is not helpful unless you can say what the actual SysID is from that CCh.

The active CCh is 860.250 and has been the same since last Friday.

On my GRE-500, SID 3802_S02 CT:83.72

On my 396T, 3802h-0002.

I apologize for any confusion I may have created

Thanks for the info. I would appear to me, that despite what we have in the DB, that new system is not on the air. Certainly it is not on the air with that frequency as a control channel (which is what we have now). Instead of just changing it, I am just going to submit a change and hopefully the regional DB Admin for that area will jump in here and see if we can't figure out if that system is really on the air or not.

It sounds like they (radio guys) may be migrating individual freqs from the old system to get the new system up. I've dropped the 860.25 control freq from the P25 system in the DB. We really need to clearly ID the freqs in use on the new system.

Gowest - since you have a PSR500, run Unitrunker with it. Place the radio in Tune mode and step through the 851 to 861 range. Each time you hit a control channel, a site window will appear. You'll capture system ID #s, site #s, channel #s and even frequencies. Please submit what you find.

I was able to get an SID for the system today. 0294h-0101.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit too far away to hear any voice traffic. A pair of talk groups did appear briefly on my scanner today, 5001 and 5007.
