some new excitement is coming to the FD in Ryan, we had a meeting last night and the air-evac team is coming to land in the driveway of the fire house so they can teach us to land them in time of need. so far for now

I'd suggest looking into their safety history. Not so good a bit NE of you. Stand back a bit.

Better check and make sure your insurance is all current at the fire house. Also, you might want to schedule some aircraft crash/rescue training in the near future. Although, I'd switch it around and get that before I let Lifeteam land in my driveway.

They have a very scary history. There was just a big news article on TV with Paula Zahn about Airevac Lifeteam on the news a few days ago.

FYI, when you have to extricate the crew, the fuel tank is on the bottom of the helicopter, so cut from the top down.

but, in Air-Evac's defense, who can top life flight?? those guys are good.

re

my wifes family lives in rubottom, and I have seen the choppers land and take victims to the hospital. Highway 32 is dangerous, not the road but the morons who drive stupid on it. 2 weeks ago there was a flat open stretch and a car was upside down in the field. they just drive way to fast.
