At about 1315 today, I picked up a police alert on a Bank robbery.
It was on talk group 16192 which is not in the data base. Is this a special "unlisted" talk group?

It may be a police announcement talkgroup given the nature of the traffic you heard. Radios can be programmed with announcement talkgroups that will override certain other talkgroups. If it was an announcement talkgroup and your scanner was setup to display "status bit" talkgroups, then you would have seen the talkgroup as 16193 (16192 + 1).

Fairfax doesn't use announcment channels. We have added some new talk groups that are not listed, but they are obscure ones that are still in the testing mode. My guess is it may have been the "PSCC" talk group. It's a new channel that is assigned to the dispatcher that gives out info over PMARS and may have accidentally broadcast over the PSCC TG...

It is one of the academy training channels. You'll hear "shots fired" on this so many times you'll think you were in the wild wild west.

16192 - is not a valid talkgroup number for the Fairfax County Public Safety TRS. 16592- is designated as Track 4 - a talkgroup used for training at the driving training facility.

Here are some Tg's I've had pop up over the last few weeks. If anyone could identify, I'd be much obliged:
21376, 19984, 20016, 20048, 20784, 16192, 20816, 16688, 20848, 20704, 21168, 20208, 21104, 12416

Some Tg's from the Database I've improved upon:
16288, Gang 1- 16320, Gang 2- 16304, Jump 1

Fairfax finally bested my Pro-96, too many Tg's. I've had to devote an entire V-Scanner folder to the county.

16688- Fairfax County PD/ Academy - Training 1

20704- Fairfax City Training can be used by PD or FD
21168- Motorola Radio technicians

The talkgroups that you listed that I didn't respond to I either don't have as a valid talkgroup for Fairfax County Public Safety Trunked Radio System or I have never seen or heard them used. I monitor this system every day with Pro96, BC250D and BC796D.

leonzo,
Thanks for the intel. on my unidentified Talk-Groups. Those numbers make much more sense now.
Could I trouble you for your complete list of Fairfax County TG's? I've noticed you have a bit more than the current database.
I monitor just about everyday from the Herndon area.
