Lindsay I also have the digital system ids for Fayette County GA trunking systems.

mapgen

The old five channel system which you have on your web site has a system ID of 203D (hex)
PRO-96 users copy the next five lines and past into Win96 for fast programming of this system

OLD FC TRS 853.28750 MOT 0.0 D
OLD FC *203D 853.56250 MOT 0.0 D
OLD FC TRS 853.83750 MOT 0.0 D
OLD FC TRS 854.11250 MOT 0.0 D
OLD FC TRS 854.38750 MOT 0.0 D

Be sure to change the fleet map to E1P10 over on the right side of Win 96 where it says ‘PRESETS”
This is an old hybrid system which will soon be discontinued. Many departments and jurisdictions have already switched to the new ten channel system.

The new ten channel multi site Fayette County trunking system has a system ID of A401 (hex)
PRO-96 users copy the next ten lines and past into Win96 for fast programming of the new system.

As soon as the four control channels of the new system have been identified we can forget the rest of those frequencies.

Now here is a secret that you only notice by careful observation of the FCC data for that system license. There is an eleventh frequency that is not trunked that is part of the license, 866.46250

What is 866.46250 used for? I detect considerable activity on this channel but you have to be really close to the county to make it out.
For PRO-96 copy and paste…

**SPECIAL** 866.46250 FM 0.0 D

It is not part of the Federal Nationwide 800 MHz Mutual Aid Channels which are listed below

jsc_3d_jay_smaller.gif

800MHz Mutual Aid 866.01250 CT 156.7 Calling
800MHz Mutual Aid 866.51250 CT 156.7 Tactical - I
800MHz Mutual Aid 867.01250 CT 156.7 Tactical- II
800MHz Mutual Aid 867.51250 CT 156.7 Tactical- III
800MHz Mutual Aid 868.01250 CT 156.7 Tactical- IV
Federal Coordination 867.78750 FM Law Enforcement

I suspect 866.46250 is a talk around channel for mobile to mobiles without using the repeater.
What do you think?

I have a bunch of new talkgroups for the new system but I have only figured out a few of them so I will leave it for others to post those.

Could it also be the single channel that they use to run CWID on?

It is only licensed for mobile use.
Normally a CWID is part of a repeater channel.

Notice there is no FB2 (repeater) listing for that frequency!
Also there is no matching repeater input listing for that channel.

The only way it makes sense is that the mobile unit both transmits and receives on the same frequency, simplex operation.

The listing for 866.46250 is...
866.46250000 20K0F3E MO 950 0 35.000

Even though 866.4625 shows up on Fayette County's license, that freq isn't used by the trunking system or as a conventional channel. It was just a spare freq in case there was a problem with one of the other freqs. I had the pleasure of installing and currently maintain that system. I also had the "pleasure" of reprogramming all the radios in the county for the new system. Oh yeah, that was loads of fun (sarcasm).
