New federal P25 system in Central Oregon

I ran across a new P25 system this morning. According to the NAC list here on RR, it belongs to the US Border Patrol but could possibly be used by others. From the few puzzle pieces I found, it may be used for interoperability with state and local agencies. I have rather poor reception at my location in Bend so I am hoping others can do better elsewhere. I have no idea of the systems location, but here is what I have so far.

The freqs I have for the JIWN (from RR) are;

Bend
168.8250 (one of the peers on this system)
167.6375
168.9250

Chemult
171.8125
171.6875
170.8125

So I guess this could just be another site in that system because of the peer. I do not see this one in RR though. Hmmm..

OK. You are correct. I did find that control frequency tied to JIWN at a location known only as "Site 067", wherever that is. Probably all encrypted anyway.

And that's why I'm always searching the federal bands - things can change. There are more than a few IWN sites that haven't made it to the RR database.

As a rule, any P-25 trunked site with a NAC of $7xx will likely be an IWN site.

Yeah I posted site 67 quite some time ago, but haven't figured out exactly where it is yet.


Also, I'll have IWN scanning during the eclipse to see if anything pops up.
