Hello...

I submitted an Application for a new Feed today and had a few questions regarding the feed.

My feed will be in USA>Massachusetts>Plymouth County...More specifically for the towns of Middleboro and Lakevile. I live in Middleboro, near Center of Town.

question1: I submitted that I will have live audio for Middleboro and Lakeville Police,Fire and EMS, since this is where I am and no one else has a current feed for this area on the Live Audio feed page for Plymouth county. the question is...after I am approved is it possible to add other surrounding towns, such as Plymouth, Raynham, taunton or Brockton and will I be able to edit my Feed description if I do add more towns to thefeed Listening area, or will an Admin need to do this?

question 2: will I be able to test out my live feed before it actually goes live and has a link on live audio feed page to it...to make sure all is working OK?

question 3:...will I need an API key to either add a link or Embeded my live feed to my website?

Thank you...Chris in Middleboro,Ma

1. If they are in the same county, you can update the secondary description of your feed to reflect the new towns. If you are going to be covering more counties, then you will need to send a note to an admin who will update that for you. Same process if you need to change the Primary description (the hyperlink) for your feed.

2.There is no test area. Just tune it as you go. People do appreciate a nice sounding feed, but remember you aren't getting paid for this; it's what you can do, when you can do it. You are also somewhat anonymous, no one is going to show up at your house and shower you with gifts or burn it down.

If you wanted to, you could set-up your own Icecast server locally and test it to prior to flipping the switch over to RR.

3. Officially, I think the answer is yes. There is an unofficial way to do it, without an API key, but both methods are really easy so why not do it the way RR has asked?

hello Tweekerbob....Thanks for the reply and help.

as for number 1...they are all in same county (plymouth) and I added them to secondary description. May fine tune this in future and add or remove some.

as for 2..got a giggle out of your response on this one Good Answer!

as for 3...apllied for the Key and then will figure out how to and where to add it to my website.

also noticed in your signature...link to your live feed/feeds....nice idea and may add link to mine in my sig.

Thanks for your help....Chris in Middleboro,Ma
