upgraded firmware and now my G5 will not alert for 2-tone on VHF for one specific channel, but all 5 tone sets that I have programmed do not alert. Anyone have any ideas?
Thats what Irks me. New Firmware is supposed to just enhance features, not break existing ones!upgraded firmware and now my G5 will not alert for 2-tone on VHF for one specific channel, but all 5 tone sets that I have programmed do not alert. Anyone have any ideas?
I am about ready to invest in the Unication G5+ voice pager. Do firmware updates from Unication frequently break things or is this an unusual occurrence? Thanks in advance for your input.Thats what Irks me. New Firmware is supposed to just enhance features, not break existing ones!
I have see quite a few posts where upgrading was done and some prior features suddenly stopped working.I am about ready to invest in the Unication G5+ voice pager. Do firmware updates from Unication frequently break things or is this an unusual occurrence? Thanks in advance for your input.
Sounds like Unication's Alpha and Beta test procedures are not being thorough enough with the different versions of the same series pagers. When I was doing QA tasks, the "monkey test" was also a part of the procedure where you press the right buttons in the wrong sequence and every which way to see if you could "break" the device under test.I have see quite a few posts where upgrading was done and some prior features suddenly stopped working.
Some folks just gotta have the latest and greatest…I know guys that the minute it comes out they have to jump right on it and I've never understood that.

Yes I reverted from 2.04 back to 2.02. My issue involved Unit Id's. Each zone holds 1000 Id's, if you have over 1000 such as my case, you could create a dummy zone and program the extra Id's into it and the radio would display all of them just fine. I have ~1400, when I upgraded to 2.04 this went away. After a day or two I did not see any performance enhancements, and decided to go back to 2.02, life is once again good.Curious if those with problems ever reverted back to their previous release (if that’s possible) and if that resolved any new issues?
Thanks. Awesome to hear. Glad you could get things back again.Yes I reverted from 2.04 back to 2.02. My issue involved Unit Id's. I haven't tried to revert back. I'm just living with the Bluetooth issue I mentioned.Curious if those with problems ever reverted back to their previous release (if that’s possible) and if that resolved any new issues?
Multiple users are seeing this issue on 2.4. So far I have not heard that support has a fix for this yet.I’ve been having problems with my pager staying locked on a channel and freezing the pager after the new firmware update 2.4. On P25, Pager was working fine on version 2.2 any recommendations?
