For those Jersey folks that do not look at the Uniden RR fourm, take a look.

It took me 5 minutes to apply 1.06.00 to my 996xt.

Much better on P25, also fixed squelch level not letting the 700 PSIC
through.

Well done Paul!

You lost me on the squelch level not letting the PSIC through, I had no problem before the update with PSIC?

Just for clarification - this is for the X-series only. The headline is a bit deceptive...

I live so close to all the sites that I listen too my error rates are usually below 10 on Burlington county and the NJ PSIC system with the factory settings in my 996XT's. Even the few digital TG's on the state 800 system are very low error rates. Some of the patches on the NJ PSIC have terible audio but thats on their end. When mobile the error rates go up a bit but thats to be expected because of varying signal strength. I'm gona hold off on this firmware, let the feeding frenzy cool off a bit and then maybe try it when I get my shack back in one piece...in the middle of re-modeling the shack.

I agree on the pass-through issues on PSIC - I think it was indicative to all 700 MHz system previous to the firmware upgrade.

Haven't tried PSIC yet tonight, been monitoring Somerset County all evening...
