Hello everyone,

We will be releasing a new FREE frequency directory covering The Northwestern part of Arizona, Mohave County and Lapaz County. This directory wll include Local, State and Federal listings. Once the directory has been completed it will be posted on the new website and will be FREE for anyone to download. We will only be keeping records on Arizona Systems. As soon as we have completed the directory and its conversions we will post the web site where it can be downloaded. We beleive that our FREE directory will be the most accurate availiable for this Area. Members of several public safety agencies and news media organizations have been using our data for years and have compared our data to other books and ours comes out on top, allthough it is not the largest directory, it is the most accurate.

Well, that sounds cool, but why not just submit the info here to this already well established free resource? Unless your directory includes a treasure map or the gate code to Alice Cooper's house, I doubt it will be able to compete with this site.

Just a suggestion, if you're really serious then go for it - you can never have too much radio information.

We understand, however the design and orientation of the directory are copyight however the information contained within is not, like all directories, in addition it is in PDF format and I dont know if we can place the PDF file on this site. Our objective is not to compete with this site but to merely add a directory that is more accurate than most directories that are being sold for outlandish prices.

Sounds pretty cool... if you guys want to add info for Maricopa county as well, I can contribute. I know just the book your referring to and yes, it's good, but quite expensive. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Are you going to be posting information from SWFD-8?

Well, I can't speak for the AZ_RADIO guy, but what I have comes directly from hours and hours of monitoring. I have many sources for the initial data, such as this site, Police Call, SWFD and other AZ web sites (and we really do need a good one for AZ - yikes, some of that crap is just USELESS) but then I sit and listen and verify what I have - and the data I've got is better and more complete than any of the original sources.

I'm guessing his response will be much the same - what he has probably initially came from there but then he pruned it down to the stuff he has personally verified to be so. The goal is not to steal someone elses work, that would be stupid - the goal is to provide as close to a 100% accurate source as possible. And it's gonna be free, so the price is definitely right.

I like the idea. I hope other area scannists will help out too - no reason why we couldn't have it include the whole state!

All information contained within the New Directory has been 100% and will be 100% verified by all contributors. However I guess that you can say that all frequency directories may have some of the same frequencies listed, however one thing is for sure, the new directory will be 100% accurate. All information listed in the new directory has been gathered utilizing many resources, from telephone calls to respective licensees (and physical verification) as well as hundreds of hours and years in field monitoring. I guess that working in the Wireless Communications Industry helps out as well, over the years contacts are made and information is gathered, I have personally been monitoring and gathering information and keeping frequency data records for over 22 years and I have seen a lot of garbage, so I have decided that I have spent enough money on directories that provide numerours inacurate records, year after year after year. I am not trying to BASH those other directories but am merely making a point that there is no reason why information of this type should be inaccurate, if the information cant be physically verified then it should not be included in the directory. I feel that everyone will see what I am talking about once the directory is released. In addition anyone interested in contributing to this project is welcome, however information gathered must be accurate, and not information coming from third parties, neighbors, sisters, husband who works for the CIA. (Just a bit or sarcasam). You get what I am saying .
