The Missouri State Highway Patrol just added some new frequencies, however the PSR-500 can not montior them.

The new frequencies are :

SG WQDT268
MISSOURI, STATE OF
[The Missouri State Highway Patrol is the largest statewide law enforcement agency with responsibilities throughout Missouri.]
Control Point 1 - Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City MO 573-751-3747

(link)
12/12/2008 License Modified
1 - MO Statewide
769.0563 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E
769.0687 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E

774.9938 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E
804.9938 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E
799.0563 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E
799.0687 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E

So will there be a fix for these, there are two problems. 1) the steps, and 2 the last few frequencies the scanner does not accept in its band scope.

Can or will this be fixed?

That scanner will still hear them. Example, for 769.05625 tune your scanner to 769.055. Because these two frqs are just 0.00125 MHz apart, the difference is so small the scanner will still receive it perfectly.

My PSR500 accepts 769.05625 just fine. No it will not accept 769.0563 (the actual frequency is 769.05625).
Even if it were .0563 the tiny difference as Mick suggested is irrelevant.

Also these are "MOI" licenses, at 2watts you will need to be right on-top of these portables :)

Thanks for the info, I had no clue what MOI meant, but looked up and now I do.

Hey another question though on this same topic that is not mentioned is that the following frequencies... Can not be entered...

804.9938 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E
799.0563 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E
799.0687 MOI 2e 8K10F1E 11K2F3E

So will there be a fix? 804.9938 enters as 806.000 and 799.0563 enters as 796.99625 ect....

Is there a difference in how the PSR600 and 500 program? I thought they were the same radio inside.
On my PSR-600 these frequencies program so close you would never know you were off. They program up as follows:
804.9938 programs as 804.993750
799.0563 programs as 799.056250
799.0687 programs as 799.068750
These are only 50 Hz off frequency and most likely you scanner PLL is off more than that.

First your info is wrong. for the last one you have 804.9938 and as you can see that's wrong, they are low power, and will probably have nothing of interest that you can get from regular frequencies.

From the FCC site
these are the actual frequencies, and they do program just fine!
Frequency
769.05625000 1 1 1 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
769.06875000 1 1 2 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
774.99375000 1 1 3 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
799.05625000 1 1 4 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
799.06875000 1 1 5 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
804.99375000 1 1 6 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000

So that means there won't be a fix?

Negative, Hoston. That's not quite correct.

Frequency
769.05625000 1 1 1 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
769.06875000 1 1 2 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
774.99375000 1 1 3 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
799.05625000 1 1 4 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
799.06875000 1 1 5 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000
804.99375000 1 1 6 MOI 1100 2.000 2.000

On a PSR-500 with the latest firmware, the 769 and 774 frequencies program just fine; the 799 and 804 frequencies do not.

I do recognize that most people would never hear anything on these frequencies because they are never that close to "the action." However, he is right that at least some of those frequencies cannot be programmed into a PSR-500.

799 and 804 used to be programmable. The latest firmware upgrade removed them. I don't think they received correctly, though, at least they didn't on my radio.
