Thanks for the update. I always find it amazing that Fresno and the North Central Fire Protection District have operated on the same 154.19 frequency and have been licensed to the same KMA206 call sign since 1949. (The FCC started assigning call sign sequences KMA-KNZ and WMA-WNZ using a 3x3 format to fixed stations in California that year.)
Of course, there are some 3x3's from 1949 still in use, but I can't think of more than a handful that have kept the same frequency for 72 years!
(OTish) LAPD's KMA367 was first issued in 1949, perhaps May (according to a number of sources, like
Harry Marnell), but October at latest because of its appearance at
14 Fed. Reg. 6316 (October 15, 1949). It's not clear, however, which freqs were on that license (the FR mention is about MW AM coordination with ITU and the 1730 kHz freq), nor which of them might still be in use.
The
latest renewal was in May 2015, and it has one of the low-band freqs (39.06) and seven of the highband freqs that were present in
this 1978 renewal. Not sure which might still be in use. I wonder if a dig through older FRs might be fruitful.
