New Getting started Questions, And Re PP ?

Hello,

Really would appreciate some very basic, truly basic, advice on gettting
started using PlanePlotter. Absolute beginner level by a Sr. Citizen.

Thought i would ask here first, prior to downloading it.

I have a SDRPlay RSPdx.
Usable with Plane Ploter ?

If not, I'll get one of those "cheap" Dongles.
Suggestions as to which one ?
Make sense to go with one of those offered by the Radar Box folks ? Which ?

What would be the commonest mode to receive these days ? ADS-B, or...?

And, how might I use PP to receive audio comms.?
Or, is most everything in the aero world digital these days, other than Tracon and Twr. ?
