Hello,

I ve been around the site for a few time but never knew excalty what I was looking at.

I recently purchased a BearCat BCT8 with the Trunk Tracker III./

I live in the Daytona Beach area and am tying to program my Local PDs stuff into it but the instructions on the manual are very vague And I am not sure if I am doing it right,

I was hoping to get the Daytona Beach and Port Orange PDs in it.

Along with any State highway freqs I can use also.

Any help would be much thankful for

Hi Eagleesi welcome to RadioReference :)

You are looking at programming this EDACS trunked system into your scanner
Volusia County Public Safety Trunking System, Volusia County, Florida - Scanner Frequencies

So, select Ed for EDACS when your scroll through the various trunking flavors.
The trick to programming EDACS is that you must program the system at the beginning of a bank at channel postition 1 and enter all the freq's in the order listed from the database.

Your Daytona Beach site has only five freq's to enter.
If you wish to enter the other two sites, be sure to put them in their own banks.

Thank you for your help. (Took long enough to reply)

I find that Both Daytona Beach and Port Orange are on System B, and that the Daytona Beach freqs are only used during Special events if DPPD 3 isn't used.

I work for the Daytona Beach PD as a SEO (Special events Officer) and I have yet been able to try out listening to our channels in my car ( I am always away from it and have a radio if anything already)
