Just making my first post to say hi.

Diving into the world of a digital scanner that will cover my area. So far looks like I'll be spending a bit more than my father's old analog scanners from the 80's. lol

Yeah, you will. In 2017 money.

If you were to take what your father spent on his old analog scanner when he bought it, and update that to today's cost of living, you'd find that you might even be spending less, and the performance may well be better in many respects.

i got a whistler scanner that can receive alot of frequencies in your county for $20 off craigslist. also have a gre psr 800 which is the best scanner ive ever owned.
