Can’t figure out why I’m not getting audio. Story county Iowa P25. I’ve used several different tutorials and they all seem to suggest different methods. I have an rtl-sdr, and believe I setup dsd appropriately with the virtual audio cable. DSD shows activity on the control channel now which I assume is a good thing. Any help appreciated. Thank you!

Database shows this system as P25 Phase 2, I thought Unitrunker wouldn't do P2 (unless the groups you are interested in are not Phase 2)

I think the voice audio output should be set to your computer speakers. If you still hear nothing maybe try parking the voice SDR on your local weather frequency and see if you hear any audio.

Digital output on the signal vco needs set to CABLE Input instead of Unspecified. On the voice vco, park it on the same freq as signal. Enter a small value in the Correction field, + or - 1 or 1.5, whatever it takes to get the Window field value close to 0.

Thanks for the help everyone. I have applied changes and it still doesn’t appear that dsd is hearing anything. This is a phase 2 system. Is that my problem?

Yes, quite possibly so. You might try using SDRTrunk. It can to Phase 2 systems and is farily easy to configure, but also requires 64-bit OS and plenty of horse power. Looking at those impecable screen shots, looks like that might be a Windows 7 system, so it may or may not work. Not sure if you are using 32-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit, and also if its running Windows 7, assuming it may be an older computer, might not be powerful enough to keep up with SDRTrunk.

Greetings! I have RPi4. I have been able to install osmocom OP25 thanks to fuzzthepiguy. I am able to view the app on my computer's browser that connects to my RPi4. I haven't figured out how to get audio. Any help would be much appreciated.

The Pi 4 is probably piping the audio out the HDMI. So if the screen the pi is connected to doesn't have speakers you won't be able to hear it. You could change it in the config and pipe it out the audio 3.5mm port or use a USB sound card.

If using a terminal do a sudo raspi-config to change the audio from HDMI to 3.5mm. If you use a USB sound card, then you will have to add that to the rx.py command for op25.

Here's a link about using a USB sound card: USB Sound Card

I just want to confirm to avoid rabbit holes... Do I need a USB sound card in order to listen on a web page or my phone?

I had to completely abandon unitrinker and go with sdrtrunk. That was literally plug and play.
