New Guy Questions

Hi!

I'm in the process of moving to Maine. Getting my scanners programmed while I have some time.

I'm wondering about Windham Fire and Police. I know they are a separate town and have their own services but I can't find them in the Cumberland County listing.

Can someone please fill me in on this?

Also, I'd appreciate any recommendations for scanner setups. I have several...among them, BC785D, BCD396T, and BCD996T. I suspect I have lots more capacity than I will have channels to listen to.

WINDHAM POLICE 158.8125
WINDHAM FIRE 154.2200

Many local police and fire departments in Maine are dispatched by their County, often on the same frequency as the County Sheriff. I live in Sagadahoc County. Here the Bath and Richmond Police are dispatched by County. Even though Bath has it's own frequency, it is rarely used.

PL on Police is 77.0, Fire is 156.7. Also of interest is Windham Public Works on 155.835, PL 91.5.
Right now, Windham has it's own dispatch center, but Cumberland County SO will be taking over soon. Frequencies will stay the same.
